The original Ratlami Sev by The Malwa Story brings you the authentic taste of MP Sev, made in small batches from our kitchen in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, following the traditional recipe. We use no maida, artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. Our sev is made up of only besan and traditional spices, which give it the right crunch and taste for which the MP sev is known.

Our sev goes well with all meals. Put it on top of your poha or in your sandwich for breakfast. You can use it to make sev tamatar ki sabzi for lunch or just eat it as a side dish with rice or chapati. It goes perfectly with your tea and also as an evening snack when mixed with parmal (puffed rice).

Besan, cotton seed oil (90%), palm oil (10%), salt, red chilli powder, black pepper, haldi (turmeric), heeng (asafoetida), cumin (jeera), ajwain (carom seeds), loung (clove)

This is unarguably the most famous sev from Madhya Pradesh. I have introduced a lot of my friends to MP Sev using this particular flavour as the extra pinch of clove adds a distinct flavour which stays with people.

None. Our sev is made with 100% pure besan (chickpea flour), fresh oil, and spices. No maida, no artificial colours, no preservatives, no flavour enhancers. What you taste is exactly what the recipe has always been.
How long does sev stay fresh after opening?

Unopened, our sev stays fresh for up to 60 days. Once opened, store in an airtight container and consume within 3-4 weeks for best taste. Because we use no preservatives, freshness depends on how well it is sealed after opening.
Do you deliver across India? What are the shipping charges?

Yes, we deliver pan-India. Orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Delivery typically takes 3-7 business days. Free delivery is available on qualifying orders — the cart will show applicable shipping at checkout.
